Race Date, Time, & Location

9 a.m. Saturday, April 14 at the East Campus Mall (near Entomology Hall).  And it's still a 100% free event!

 

 

Pre-registration

We encourage pre-registration to help us gauge the number of people to expect at the event. If you do not to pre-register, please arrive 30-45 minutes early to the run April 14 so we can gather your info you can sign a waiver. We issue a bib number to each participant to monitor and keep track of everyone while on the course.

Waiver Reminder

All participants must turn in a signed waiver form before the event. Print, sign, and bring with you to bib-pickup (to be announced soon) or to the run on April 14. Click to download the waiver form.

 

 

Who can participate?

Everyone! UNL students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends, families, Lincoln runners, fitness & sports enthusiasts, high school students, community members. We say yes to everyone.

Yes to Baby Strollers.  No to Pets.

Baby strollers are allowed during the Fun Run, so bring your infant along with you.

 

Participants are not allowed to run with with pet(s) or have their pet(s) on the actual race course during the event. Spectators may bring their dog/cat so long as they are on a leash/harness and are kept off the race course during the event. 

 

 

Parking

Several streets on East Campus will be blocked by campus police for the fun run. Plan for an early arrival so you have plenty of time to find parking and make your way to the Start Line on the East Campus Mall. A good place to park is the lot directly north of East Campus Union. This is a fun run, so don’t stress yourself out before it begins.

On race day, course will be marked with a combination of arrow signs, traffic cones, and course monitors.

 

 

Restrooms

Restrooms are available in the Rec & Wellness Center both before and after the run. It is never appropriate (and is actually illegal behavior) to urinate/defecate in the parking lots and/or bushes and trees.

 

 

Timing & Awards

The CASNR Fun Run is an untimed event.  The top three male and female finishers will receive awards following the run, however official times will not be recorded/posted.  This event is truly a FUN RUN and we want every participant to have the best experience possible.

Refreshments

Water and refreshments will be served at the Finish Line.
