After much thought and consultation, the CASNR Fun Run 5K on April 14 is canceled due to the forecasted weather; the run will not be rescheduled for 2018, yet it will return in spring 2019.

​

The decision to cancel was not made lightly. The safety and health of our runners and walkers is the utmost concern.  Saturday morning's air temperature will be less than 35°F / 2°C, combined with rain, snow and very strong winds. The wind chill and moisture will make the temperature feel less than 20°F / -7°C. There is nothing "fun" about the potential for slick road conditions and hypothermia.

Thank you to each of the 310 runners & walkers who signed up to participate. We truly enjoy organizing the Fun Run each year to bring together students, employees, and the community to celebrate the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
